The Leather

All the products are made from vegetable tanned leather.

MINERVA Badalassi Carlo

Badalassi Minerva is a smooth, classic vachetta, vegetable tanned double shoulder.

Each hide is treated with extracts of trunk and bark inside wood barrels, greased with a mixture of animal fats and then coloured in a drum. 

Rubbing the skins with a dry cloth will burnish it brighter as well as moving the colour darker. Minerva can be treated with natural creams and waxes.

PUEBLO Badalassi Carlo

Badalassi Carlo's Pueblo is a leather that combines sturdy ruggedness with elegant sophistication. Pure vegetable tanned, dyed through shoulders with a rustic, yet unique look, it develops a silky, patina finish through brushing. Perfect for small leathergoods and footwear, it provides a strong and resilient character to any item. Pueblo can be further treated with natural creams and waxes.

WAX Badalassi Carlo

Badalassi Wax is a vegetable-tanned shoulder leather of the highest quality.

Tanned after an ancient tanning tradition, in a wooden drum with oils and animal fat, dyed through and afterwards polished with an amber stone roll. Added wax during the tanning process creates the distinct pull-up effect.

BUTTERO Walpier

Buttero has a
matt look and presents as a rather firm article. These are vegetable tanned bovine double shoulders with a smooth surface and low finishing. 

These hides are dyed through, strong with a semi dry touch. Buttero in all it’s forms
and colors is a pleasure to work with and edges polish beautifully. 

To care and finish these hides we would recommend creams and waxes.
